The 2017 NIDA International Forum: Building International Collaborative Research on Drug Abuse June 16 – 19, 2017 Montreal, Canada The NIDA International Forum fosters international cooperative research and the exchange of scientific information by drug abuse researchers. Held each June in conjunction with the annual scientific meeting of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), the Forum highlights the range and quality of drug abuse and addiction research conducted around the world. Centered around a theme each year, the Forum features a research symposium, a poster session, and network-building activities highlighting NIDA-supported and other international research on drug abuse. This unique scientific meeting allows participants to network with talented colleagues, learn about drug abuse research and policy issues in other countries, and discuss NIDA-supported fellowships and other programs that can support international collaborations. International Study Group Investigating Drugs as Reinforcers (ISGIDAR)

ISGIDAR has begun making preliminary plans for the 2017 ISGIDAR meeting in Montreal, Canada on Saturday, June 17th.

As always, ISGIDAR will be having our meeting in conjunction with the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD).  We know that many of you submitted abstracts to CPDD, and we hope that you will also consider attending and presenting at the annual meeting of ISGIDAR.

This year, ISGIDAR will offer two travel awards for young investigators – we will have our annual ISGIDAR Travel Award (supported by Drs. Suzette Evans and Richard Foltin) and we will again offer the Woolverton Travel Award.  As always, our program will be filled with basic and clinical research addressing the topic of drugs as reinforcers, with both animal and human research well represented.
