SPECIAL SEPTEMBER WEBINAR: The Fallout from a Facility Infiltration
Join us on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 12:30 EDST for a special webinar on “The Fallout from a Facility Infiltration.” Our speakers will be NABR’s current Chair of the Board of Directors, Donna Clemons and incoming Chair John Bradfield who will discuss their experience surrounding the infiltration of facilities with which they were associated. The focus of the discussion will be on lessons learned and changes made as a result of the fallout from the infiltration. While the specific language may vary, the subparts in the Standards to implement the Animal Welfare Act require facilities to have enough employees to carry out the requirements contained in the standards. NABR is aware that following the pandemic some facilities have faced challenges in terms of maintaining optimal staffing. NABR has previously reported on animal rights groups soliciting individuals to work as undercover investigators in animal facilities. It is important when facing staffing shortages that facilities maintain vigilance in their hiring practices to minimize the chance an infiltrator will disrupt operations. It is often said that “experience is the best teacher,” so join us for a free-ranging discussion with Drs. Clemons and Bradfield who will discuss their experiences dealing with the fallout from a facility infiltration.
