Job Description: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time (clinical fixed term) faculty member who will be involved with clinical activities in the Substance Treatment and Recovery (STAR) program, clinical supervision, and program development.

Completion of an APA-accredited PhD/PsyD in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or related doctoral program, and completion of an APA-accredited internship is required. Candidates must be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the state of North Carolina. Candidates must demonstrate strong evidence of interest and previous clinical training in substance use disorders.

Applicants who have experience in substance use disorders and training in evidence-based interventions are strongly preferred. Prior experience in academic medical settings and/or in a high-performing clinical team is preferred, but not required. Preferred candidates will have training and experience with multidisciplinary team-based treatment approaches as well as experience with treatment in various levels of care. Prior experience in working with psychology trainees, particularly doctoral interns, is also preferred.
