Clinical Psychology Division Chief/Director – Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center

The Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center invites applications for a faculty leadership position for a senior clinical psychologist (Associate Professor or Professor) to serve as its inaugural Division Chief. 

The future incumbent will be responsible for the overall operations and advancement of the Department’s clinical psychology enterprise and will report directly to the Department Chair.   Responsibilities include building programs of excellence, implementing new services and models of care, growing existing programs to meet the needs of patients, trainees, and the community, developing funded research, mentoring junior faculty, internal and external liaison, and the supervision of training directors. 

Candidates must have completed an APA-accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. program and have several years of leadership experience in a clinical psychology program at a major academic medical center that includes clinical practice oversight, strategic planning, faculty supervision, and fostering clinical research. 

Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a clinical psychologist in Virginia.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
