Post-Doctoral Training Opportunities in Addiction NIDA T32 Training Grant

The University of Chicago has openings for post-doctoral trainees in addiction research. The NIDA Training Program at the University of Chicago offers a unique interdisciplinary training environment. Trainees engage in a lively cross-disciplinary intellectual environment that includes preclinical neurobiological research as well as human and animal behavioral research, drug abuse treatment, and epidemiological and policy-related studies. Trainees engage in experiences beyond their primary research projects including seminars, internship programs, co-mentorship opportunities and interactions with visiting scientists.
Participating faculty are leaders in their fields, from the Departments of Neurobiology (Xiaoxi Zhuang, Bill Green, Mark Sheffield), Anesthesia and Critical Care (Stephanie Groman, Dan McGehee, Ming Xu), Psychiatry and Behavioral Science (Andrea King, Seth Himmelhoch, Harriet de Wit, Daniel Fridberg), Public Health Sciences (Don Hedeker, Marcia Tan), Medicine (Alfredo Garcia III), Radiology (Chin-tu Chen) and the School for Social Service Administration (Harold Pollack, John Schneider). The University of Chicago is a highly collaborative research institution with a long history of commitment to addiction research.
