Postdoctoral Associate – Yale University
GENERAL PURPOSE: Postdoctoral Associate needed for a full-time 2-year position in a Yale School of Medicine clinical research program. This position may be ideal for a recent PhD graduate. Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator (Declan Barry, PhD), the Postdoctoral Associate will oversee the day-to-day running of a multisite NIH-funded clinical trial to examine the effectiveness of a stepped-care model to treat persons with chronic pain and opioid use disorder (https://medicine.yale.edu/internal-medicine/genmed/addictionmedicine/research/centers/impower-you-research-center).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees recruitment of study participants
- Trains and supervises research assistants
- Coordinates schedules of study counselors and research assistants
- Initiates and maintains contact with study participants
- Schedules and conducts interviews or assessments
- Organizes participant logs and other study-related materials
- Manages data sets
- Prepares and presents progress reports
- Assists in write-up of publications and presentations
- Assists study investigators in completing study-related reports
- Interfaces with Yale Institutional Review Board
Requirements:
- Doctorate in psychology, science, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Polished verbal and written skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Commitment to human services research and patient population
- Punctuality and positive work ethic
- Ability to multitask
- Flexibility with work schedule to meet study demands
