Postdoctoral Fellowship at Wayne State University (WSU) School of Medicine

WSU School of Medicine is located in the heart of Detroit, MI in a dynamic, urban environment. The WSU Substance Addiction Research Division is a vibrant research group (>$25 million in current funding) led by a multidisciplinary team of 5 principal investigators conducting clinical addiction research. Among them, Dr. Eric Woodcock is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to multi-modal neuroimaging research studies (MRI + PET) among individuals with substance use disorders (anticipated start date:  Summer 2025). 

Primary Job Functions:

  • Assist with the implementation and analysis of clinical Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging research
  • Assist with the implementation and analysis of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) research
  • Co-author manuscripts and grant applications

Applicant Requirements:

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or similar
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting neuroimaging data 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using PMod to analyze PET data
  • Knowledge of neurobiology and psychiatric disorders
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and software packages
