Each year NABR obtains information from the USDA’s Animal Care Inspection System database to review the inspection results for the previous fiscal year. This year we implemented an ongoing review process to optimize our efficiency in using the Public Search Tool. By regularly downloading and analyzing data throughout the year we were able to get a better understanding of the overall inspection process. Additionally, we were able to quickly notice a change in that process in terms of the numbers and types of citations issued.
In this webinar we will provide our review of the inspection data to-date. We also hope to provide an update on the progress toward the reduction of administrative burden on investigators, as mandated in the 21st Century Cures Act, as well as any revisions to the USDA’s Animal Welfare Inspection Guide.
We invite you to join us on January 8, 2019 when we look at the data from FY 2018 and analyze that data in terms of the changes that have occurred in the inspection process. We will also review any changes that may be forthcoming as result of ongoing activities to reduce the regulatory/administrative burden. We think that this information will help you manage your own animal care and use program in the coming fiscal year.
