Getting important science into the conversation sometimes requires more than an invitation to present it. CPDD Travel Awards help eligible researchers offset the costs of attending the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting in Toronto, making it more possible for recipients to participate in the scientific exchange taking place June 26–30, 2027.

Travel Awards are intended for researchers who plan to contribute their work to the Annual Scientific Meeting and need additional support to make attendance possible. The Travel Award application is separate from the scientific submission process. Applicants must also submit their research for consideration as part of the CPDD 2027 scientific program and should review the eligibility requirements and application instructions for the specific award for which they are applying.

For recipients, the value extends beyond getting to Toronto. Being at CPDD means having the opportunity to discuss your research with scientists working across disciplines and career stages, encounter work beyond your immediate area of inquiry, and place your own findings within the broader landscape of addiction science. Those exchanges are an important part of how research is tested, strengthened, and carried forward.

This year's Travel Awards include:

  • CPDD's International Travel Awards
  • Early Career Investigator Travel Awards
  • MySafeRx In. Technology-Based Treatments for Addiction Travel Award
  • NIDA Director's Travel Awards
  • Stephen G. Holtzman Travel Award for Preclinical Investigators

If you have science to contribute to #CPDD27, a Travel Award may help you get it there. Explore the available awards, review the requirements, and submit your application by the applicable deadline.
