Brentwood, TN – The College on Problems of Drug Dependence is excited to announce the International Study Group Investigating Drugs as Reinforcers (ISGIDAR) will be co-locating their virtual meeting with CPDD on Friday, June 18, 2021.

“This year’s annual meeting will be held virtually, using the same online platform as CPDD,” shared ISGIDAR President Joshua Lile, PhD. “We greatly appreciate the support and generosity extended to us by CPDD and the Parthenon Management Group for our virtual meeting. The meeting will be held on Friday, June 18th from 12-4pm and the Business meeting from 4-5pm instead of the usual Saturday before CPDD.”

The change in the meeting schedule was implemented to avoid overlap with some of CPDD’s programming. A benefit of this schedule change is that it will allow more CPDD attendees to join the virtual ISGIDAR meeting. Another change is that the meeting will only last for roughly 5 hours, starting in the East Coast afternoon to avoid screen fatigue and promote involvement by our colleagues in other North American time zones. Steve Negus will give an invited lecture, and the ISGIDAR Team is expecting the usual mix of presentations on preclinical and clinical research.

“We are now enthusiastically accepting ideas for mini-symposia, original research and “favorite paper” presentations, as well as applications for travel awards, Lile added. “The registration fee for this year’s meeting has been significantly reduced to $25 (from $100) for regular attendees and is free of charge (from $50) for in-training attendees.”
