CPDD News and Views Collection — Drug and Alcohol Dependence (DAD)
The Drug and Alcohol Dependence (DAD) News and Views collection is accepting submissions. Articles may cover a broad range of topics related to substance use, co-use, substance use disorder, policy, best practices, impaired professionals, and research gaps.
Submissions should not exceed 2,500 words and must follow the journal’s formatting guidelines. Before submitting, the corresponding author must send a pre-submission inquiry (max 300 words) to the Chair of the Communications Committee, Dr. Frank Schwebel (fschwebel@unm.edu), describing the proposed article’s focus and type (e.g., commentary, opinion).
News and Views articles are meant to reflect CPDD’s ethos, values, perspectives, and interests but are not subjected to and should not be considered to be peer-reviewed. Submissions are reviewed by members of the Communications Committee and Executive Committee. Accepted articles are published in the News and Views section of DAD, reaching CPDD’s community of expert drug and alcohol use researchers.
