Founding Open-Rank Faculty – University of Arkansas

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children’s Research Institute (ACRI) are recruiting up to three founding, open-rank faculty to join the National Center for Opioid Research and Clinical  Effectiveness (NCOR), a newly launched, state-funded national research center supported by an unprecedented $75M investment to advance evidence-based prevention and treatment of opioid and substance misuse affecting infants, children, adolescents, and families, especially those residing in rural areas.

Faculty will receive competitive start-up support and be housed in a new 65,000 sq ft research facility (opening Spring 2027).

Candidates should have a strong research program focused on opioid/substance misuse, with interest in multidisciplinary collaboration and passion for making a real-world impact.

Qualifications: PhD, MD, or equivalent; record (or trajectory) of extramural funding.
