After lengthy negotiations with The Diplomat Resort due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the In-Person CPDD Meeting at in Hollywood, Florida is canceled. Why host a Virtual Meeting? The health and well-being of our attendees is of the utmost importance as the Board of Directors considered the options of cancellation, postponement, or changing to a virtual event. This has been an extremely difficult decision for the Board, as CPDD is a not-for-profit organization that relies heavily on its annual scientific meeting to sustain its financial well-being. Furthermore, CPDD’s mission is to provide a national and international forum for scientists of diverse backgrounds to advance the understanding of molecular-neurobiological aspects of addictive disorders, and this is achieved by the annual scientific meeting.
