CPDD has developed a new Professional affiliate level to expand access to CPDD membership. The Professional affiliate level will open CPDD up to Early career members who no longer qualify as Member-in-Training but may not yet qualify for Associate membership and those who contribute to the field but given their particular role and responsibilities would not meet the publication requirements for membership (e.g., peer recovery coaches, clinicians, governments, non-profit organizations, etc.).
Benefits of the Professional affiliate level will include:
1. Discounted Registration for annual scientific meeting.
2. Serve of Committees except Awards for Excellence, Code of Conduct, Long-Range Planning, Membership, Rules and Travel Awards.
3. Electronic Access to the Colleges journal (Drug and Alcohol Dependence).
4. Can be first-author on an abstract for the annual scientific meeting.
5. Receipt of CPDD mailings.
6. Access to CPDD electronic discussion lists.
To apply for Professional level membership, use this link: How-to-become-a-member.
Applications materials include a CV or resume and a statement of commitment and contribution to the field of substance use disorders.
