Director of Research – Mind Research Network, Albuquerque, NM

The Mind Research Network (MRN) is seeking a full-time Director of Research to oversee and manage research operations across multiple programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting Principal Investigators (PIs), and coordinating resources to maintain high standards of research integrity and operational efficiency.

The Director of Research works closely with internal and external Principal Investigators, service centers, IRBs, regulatory agencies, administration and other research staff to ensure long-term success of the organization. Primary responsibilities include managing day-to-day research operations and providing guidance to research staff; ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations governing human subjects research; coordinating IRB submissions, regulatory audits, and compliance activities; developing and implementing research policies and training programs; overseeing research systems such as ClinicalTrials.gov, REDCap, and the COINS database; supporting PIs with study setup, monitoring, and reporting requirements; collaborating with administrative teams to allocate resources and maintain budgets; representing MRN in communications with sponsors, regulatory agencies, and collaborators; assisting with participant recruitment, data collection, and quality-control processes; and preparing and maintaining documentation for research agreements and regulatory binders.

A master’s degree or higher with substantial clinical research experience is preferred. Must be able to obtain CIP and/or SOCRA CCRP certification within six months. Requires strong knowledge of federal and state human subjects regulations and substantial IRB and clinical trials experience. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills; sound judgment; professionalism; and the ability to manage complex, concurrent projects with attention to detail. Strong skills in project management, database systems, problem solving, decision making, and customer service are essential. Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations, and work independently is required.

Salary is commensurate with experience, expected to be competitive with a typical academic faculty salary.
