Postdoctoral Fellowship – University of Michigan
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a collaborative, community-engaged addiction research program led by Lara Coughlin, PhD and Allison Lin, MD, DFASAM.
This position is ideal for fellows interested in translating evidence-based addiction treatment into real-world community settings and building a career at the intersection of addiction science, implementation research, health equity, and public policy.
The fellow will join the University of Michigan Addiction Center’s MI-ACRE (Michigan Innovations in Addiction Care through Research and Education) program, which partners with health systems, community organizations, Medicaid and public health leaders, and policymakers to expand access to high-quality substance use disorder care across Michigan and beyond. Current federally funded projects focus on contingency management implementation and scale-up, rural addiction care delivery, opioid and stimulant use, digital and telehealth interventions, and community-centered approaches to reducing barriers to care.
Research opportunities include:
• Community-engaged and participatory addiction research

Fellows are integrated into a highly collaborative interdisciplinary environment across the University of Michigan, including the Addiction Center, the NIAAA-funded T32 training program, and the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation.
