CPDD PRESIDENT-ELECT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now open for the 2026 election of President-Elect and the Board of Directors. Nominations will commence immediately and close at 5:00 PM CST on Friday, December 8, 2025. All Charter Fellows, Fellows, Regular Members and Associate Members are eligible to nominate.
Your nominations will be evaluated by the Nominating Committee, which will then formulate a slate of candidates. Members of the Nominating Committee are not eligible for election.
We are accepting Nominations for the following positions:
President-Elect
President-Elect nominees must be a current member of the Board of Directors or have been a Board member or an officer within the last six years. A list of eligible candidates can be accessed here. Only those on the linked eligibility list can be nominated for President-Elect. The candidate who is elected will assume the office of President-Elect, and then President, and Past-President immediately following the Annual Scientific Meetings in June of 2026, 2027, and 2028, respectively.
Treasurer
This position plays a pivotal role in the CPDD Board of Directors and Executive Committee. This role should be filled by a member with an understanding of CPDD business and finance experience. Please consider nominating candidates who have served the College on the Finance Committee and regularly attend the Annual Scientific Meeting.
Board of Directors
This is an outstanding way to serve the College and further its interests. There are 4 BOD positions to fill. Please consider nominating candidates who have served the College on committees and regularly attend the Annual Scientific Meeting. Those elected will begin a 4-year term immediately following the Annual Scientific Meeting in June of 2026.
Nominees for the CPDD Board of Directors are selected to ensure that the Board reflects the broad scientific interests of its constituency. One of the ways this has been maintained is selecting nominees with areas of interest that are similar to those of our departing Board members.
CPDD is committed to fostering a collaborative and dynamic scientific community. The Nominating Committee encourages and welcomes nominations of individuals with a wide range of experiences, backgrounds, and expertise to strengthen the Board and support the organization's mission.
Former members of the Board of Directors who wish to be nominated must wait a minimum of three years since they last served on the Board.
All nominations must include:
- A short biographical sketch highlighting past leadership experience and prior CPDD service (250 words maximum; if you are nominating someone else, please obtain from the nominee)
- Full mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address
- Indicate the nomination position of President-Elect, Treasurer, or Board of Directors
- For Board of Directors nominations, area of expertise should also be indicated
- Be sure to confirm that your nominee is willing to be a candidate and to serve, if elected
- Self-nominations are accepted
Nominations must be received via the online process only and due by 5 PM CST on Friday, December 8, 2025.
