These accomplished individuals have been chosen for their exceptional dedication and impactful work in the realm of SUDs research. The grant aims to provide crucial support for their ongoing investigations in the following critical areas:

  • Dr. Caitlyn Hood's research focuses on using implementation science to increase the accessibility of trauma-informed Interventions for violence-exposed Women Enrolled in Substance Use Recovery Centers.
  • Dr. Justin Matheson's study examines rates of cannabis and other substance use, revealing higher prevalence in transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) adults compared to cisgender adults.
  • Dr. Sean Regnier's work addresses the vulnerabilities of people living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) to the dangers of cigarette smoking.
