Call for Proposals Now Open: 2026 National Conference on Addiction Recovery Science (NCARS)

We are pleased to share that the Call for Proposals is now open for the National Conference on Addiction Recovery Science (NCARS). This year’s conference is fully virtual, based on the positive feedback on the format in prior years and the interest in ensuring the conference accessible to a wide audience, especially all our recovery community partners.

NCARS Mission and Purpose: The third annual 2026 National Conference on Addiction Recovery Science aims to bring together researchers at all stages of training and experience to stimulate exchange of ideas and allow for the presentation of cutting-edge research across the spectrum of alcohol and other drug use disorders and affected populations. This is the first national conference specifically dedicated to substance use disorder recovery science, and features plenary talks from national leaders, symposia, roundtable discussions, poster session, mentorship session, recovery organization supporter booths, and monetary early career investigator poster awards. The cost for early bird registration is $85 for professionals, $35 for undergraduate and graduate students, which increase to $100 and $50 respectively in July 2026.
